1-day Frankland island adventure
Frankland Islands Reef Cruises starts with a rainforest river cruise, followed by the shortest open water crossing of any of the Cairns day tour boats, to put you right on Normanby Island in the beautiful Frankland Islands National Park island group. Surrounded by vibrant fringing reefs, it’s home to many species of marine life, including turtles, octopus, and the ever-popular anemone clownfish, Nemo. You have up to 4 hours to explore and enjoy this natural paradise, above and below the water. Your trip includes coach transfers from Cairns CBD accommodation, a guided Great Barrier Reef snorkel tour, a guided island walk, and a buffet lunch. Optional activities include our adventure snorkel safari, or grab a kayak or stand-up paddle board and explore.
3-day Cod Hole & Ribbon Reefs Dive Adventure
Stepping aboard the sleek and spacious ‘Spirit of Freedom’, this 3-night liveaboard dive trip departs every Thursday from Cairns, and travels along the rarely visited Ribbon Reefs, finishing 240 km to the north at the world-famous Cod Hole. Along the ‘Ribbons’ you will have the opportunity to complete up to 11 dives as you encounter clouds of colourful tropical fish, an incredible variety of vibrant healthy corals, giant clams, anemones, huge schools of cruising pelagic fish, and a family of giant potato cod.
4-day Coral Sea & Ribbon Reefs Adventure
This four-day Coral Sea trip starts with a 200km flight from Cairns along the coastline and over the Great Barrier Reef to the remote Lizard Island (Jiigurru), some 90km off the Queensland coast. Landing on the small island runway, you will be met by the crew of the Spirit of Freedom and welcomed aboard as your liveaboard dive trip adventure begins! On the first day, you will be diving at the very top of the Ribbon Reefs before our 100km overnight voyage out to the world-famous Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea, an old volcanic atoll lying 220 km off the coast and offers some of the world’s best diving. For the next two days, you will be diving into a variety of Osprey’s spectacular sites. The final day of your liveaboard dive trip is spent at Ribbon Reef Number 3, or occasionally if the weather permits, Bougainville Reef, to the south of Osprey Reef.
7-day Ultimate Great Barrier Reef Adventure
For those divers who want to see explore the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. This 7-night dive liveaboard trip would be the ultimate adventure. Beginning every Thursday from Cairns and combines the 3 Night Cod Hole/Ribbon Reef and 4 Night the Coral Sea trips into one of the world’s most epic liveaboard dive boat adventures.
